Sheldon hosts annual Blue Card Luncheon

On September 11, Sheldon ISD hosted its second annual Blue Card Luncheon for Blue Card members. To be a Blue Card member, you must be a resident of Sheldon ISD and 65 years of age or older. Blue Card members receive a free luncheon each year and free entry to all home sporting events and fine arts performances.

At this year’s luncheon, attendees heard a presentation from Superintendent Dr. Demetrius McCall and enjoyed performances from King High School and King Middle School fine arts students.

“We have nearly 150 Blue Card members since the program began in 2021,” said Executive Director of Communications Emily Conklin, APR. “To sign up for the program, residents can visit our website at www.sheldonisd.com and click the Community tab on the menu section. We are so thankful and appreciative of the support we receive from our Blue Card members. Many members are grandparents within our school district and some are even King High School graduates.”
