Sheldon ISD Assistant Superintendent for Administration accepts new position with Goose Creek CISD

Sheldon ISD Superintendent Dr. King Davis announced this afternoon that Assistant Superintendent for Administration Dr. Demetrius McCall is leaving the district for a new position at Goose Creek CISD.
Dr. McCall, who has been with Sheldon ISD for the past eight years, was hired this morning as GCCISD’s new Deputy Superintendent for Administrative Services.
“Sheldon ISD has been a huge blessing to both me and my family,” Dr. McCall said. “I will miss everything about this community – especially the students, teachers, and staff. Also, I want to personally thank Dr. Davis and the Board of Trustees for trusting me to serve in the various capacities I’ve been part of throughout this wonderful district.”
During his time at Sheldon ISD, Dr. McCall has served as the C. E. King High School Principal for Curriculum and Instruction for two years; C. E. King High School Principal for four years; and most recently the Assistant Superintendent for Administration for the past two years.
“Dr. McCall will be greatly missed within the Sheldon community,” Dr. Davis said. “We made great strides under his strong leadership, and we wish him the very best in his new promotion.”

Sheldon ISD summer hours

Sheldon ISD will begin its summer work schedule on Monday, June 8. The administration buildings will be open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., through July 23. Normal operating hours will resume on Monday, July 27.
Working in compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, individuals are encouraged to set appointments with office staff in advance to help limit the number of people inside our facilities.

Sheldon ISD sets June 1-2 as designated pick up / drop off days

Sheldon ISD has scheduled June 1-2 as designated days for students to pick up personal belongings and/or drop off school-issued supplies – such as textbooks, library books, technology devices, etc.

Here are the scheduled times for the designated pick-up days: June 1 will be 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and June 2 will be 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Please click on the headline for more information.)

Community-Wide Food Drive set for Saturday (April 25) at new Sheldon ISD Panther Stadium

The Houston Food Bank, in conjunction with “A Collaboration of Community Hands,” will be hosting a community-wide Food Drive at the new Sheldon ISD Panther Stadium on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or whenever the food runs out).

Please make plans to come as early as possible, as there are only 80 pallets of food available for distribution.

We hope to see you at Panther Stadium this Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
