Counselor’s Corner

Dear Sheldon Lake Family,

It is a great honor to introduce myself as the school counselor of Sheldon Lake Elementary. I have served as an elementary school counselor in Sheldon ISD for the past nine years and was a bilingual teacher for four years before that. My goal for this school year is to help each of our students have a successful and positive year. I will be providing whole class guidance lessons as well as individual and small group counseling services to all students.

It is a privilege to serve in the community where I grew up. I am a product of Sheldon ISD where I attended grade school and graduated from C.E. King Highschool. I then attended University of Houston Downtown where I received a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies. After that, I completed my graduate studies at Sam Houston State University where I received an M.A. of Education in Counseling.

I look forward to getting to know all of our students and their families. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or concerns about the counseling program or your child. By working together, we will succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
